Munden House is the perfect location for those wanting to explore the delights of Dorset.
Sherborne is no more than a five minute drive away, and with its Abbey, two Castles, Museum and many independent shops and coffee houses it's one of the county’s most attractive towns.
Cerne Abbas is nearby which is a beautiful village with a rather unusual giant carved into the hill. On the way there you could stop and visit the Minterne Magna Gardens which are attributed to Capability Brown. Sandford Orcas Manor is also nearby.
The National Trust houses Kingston Lacy, Stourhead, Montacute and Lytes Cary Manor are all within a forty minute drive from Munden House.
The Fleet Air Arm Museum is nearby at Yeovilton as is the Haynes motor museum with its huge collection of cars.
All around is Thomas Hardy country and half an hour’s drive away is the wonderful Dorset heritage coastline, from Poole in the east to Lyme Regis in the west.
Munden is a convenient starting point for visits to Dorsets many towns and villages, gardens, country houses, prehistoric sites and museums.
A huge choice of country walks are readily accessible, and nearby are facilities for golf, riding and tennis.
